Taxonomy
Cancellaria pacifica was named by Anderson (1905). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zone J - Canoa Formation, which is in a Piacenzian/Gelasian coastal sandstone/claystone in the Canoa Formation of Ecuador.

It was recombined as Cancellaria (Euclia) pacifica by Pilsbry and Olsson (1941), Moore (1963) and Addicott (1970).
