Avonichthys manskyi
Taxonomy
Avonichthys manskyi was named by Wilson et al. (2018). Its type specimen is NSM016GF025.001, a partial skull (braincase), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horton Bluff lighthouse, Blue Beach, which is in a Tournaisian lacustrine deltaic shale/sandstone in the Horton Bluff Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Avonichthys.
