Taxonomy
Drillia buwaldana was named by Anderson and Martin (1914). Its type specimen is CAS 223 and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Clathrodrillia buwaldana by Loel and Corey (1932); it was recombined as Turricula buwaldana by Keen (1943); it was recombined as Turricula bulwaldana by Addicott (1970).
