Yunnanophorus was named by Chen (1976). It is not extant. Its type is Anatina (Cercomya) boulei.
It was assigned to Pachycardiidae by Chen (1976); to Lamellibranchiata by Lu (1981); and to Qiyangiinae by Fang et al. (2009).
