Taxonomy

Glycimeris perrini was named by Dickerson (1916). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP loc. 672, Parsons Peak, which is in a Ypresian marine sandstone in the Domengine Formation of California.

It was recombined as Glycymeris perrini by Stewart (1930); it was recombined as Glycymeris (Tucetona) perrini by Moore (1983).

Synonyms

Axinaea cor was named by Gabb (1864).

It was replaced with Axinaea gabbi by Cossmann (1913); it was recombined as Glycimeris cor by Dickerson (1915); it was synonymized subjectively with Glycymeris perrini by Stewart (1930).
Glycymeris instabilis was named by Anderson and Hanna (1925).

It was synonymized subjectively with Glycymeris perrini by Stewart (1930); it was synonymized subjectively with Glycymeris (Tucetona) perrini by Moore (1983).
Axinaea gabbi was named by Cossmann (1913).

It was replaced with Glycymeris instabilis by Anderson and Hanna (1925).
