Taxonomy
Fasciolaria sinuata was named by Gabb (1864).

It was recombined as Whitneyella sinuata by Gabb (1864), Stewart (1927) and Turner (1938); it was recombined as Latirus sinuatus by Anderson and Hanna (1925) and Hanna (1927); it was recombined as Perse sinuata by Givens and Kennedy (1979).
