Taxonomy
Figites planus was named by Statz (1938). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Rott (Statz Collection), which is in a Chattian lacustrine - small shale in the Rott Formation of Germany.
It was recombined as Hodiernocynips planus by Kovalev (1994) and Liu and Engel (2007); it was recombined as Aulacidea plana by Pujade-Villar and Peñalver (2019).
