Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
P. R. Bell 2011Large hadrosaurine hadrosaurid (up to 12 m long) with the following apomorphies: solid, caudodorsally−directed cranial crest composed of the nasals, prefrontals, and frontals that extends posterior to the squamosals in adults; posterodorsal process of prefrontal and frontal united to form dorsal promontorium that buttresses the underside of the nasal crest; frontals tripartite. Differs from other hadrosaurines with the combination of additional characteristics: frontals excluded from the orbital rim by the postorbital−prefrontal complex; two supraorbital elements; parietal excluded by the squamosals from posterodorsal margin of occiput.
