Taxonomy
Polidevcia jamesi was named by Biakov (2002). Its type specimen is MCGS 29/1019, a valve (Right valve), and it is a cast. Its type locality is Zun-Shiveya Ravine, site 1487/7, Chiron Depression, which is in a Sakmarian marine horizon in the Zhipkosh Formation of the Russian Federation.
It was recombined as Phestia jamesi by Biakov (2019).
