Panthasaurus maleriensis

Taxonomy
Metoposaurus maleriensis was named by Chowdhury (1965). Its type specimen is ISI A56, a partial skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Achlapur 2, which is in a Carnian/Norian fluvial claystone in the Lower Maleri Formation of India.

It was recombined as Buettneria maleriensis by Sengupta (2002); it was recombined as Panthasaurus maleriensis by Chakravorti and Sengupta (2018).
