Myosaurus
Taxonomy
Myosaurus was named by Haughton (1917). Its type is Myosaurus gracilis. It was considered monophyletic by Hammer and Cosgriff (1981).
It was assigned to Pristerodontinae by Cluver (1974); to Myosauridae by Hammer and Cosgriff (1981); to Myosaurini by King (1988); to Emydopidae by Carroll (1988); to Myosauridae by Kammerer and Angielczyk (2009); and to Emydopoidea by Fröbisch and Reisz (2011).
