Pseudopemmatites was named by Fraipont (1911) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras Sepkoski's reference number: 218]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudopemmatites fourmarieri.
It was assigned to Hexactinosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Aglithodictyidae by Finks et al. (2004).
