Taxonomy
Sowerbyites wahringaensis was named by Percival et al. (2001) [Sowerbyites? wahringaensis sp. nov. (Fig. )]. Its type specimen is MMF 34351A , a valve (ventral valve interior), and it is a 3D body fossil.
