Conchodus Tausch 1891, according to Treatise (Cox, et al., 1969: N743) a nomen vanum of Conchodon Stoppani 1865, is entangled in PBDB.
Taxonomy
Conchodon was named by Stoppani (1865) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Rhae]. It is not extant. Its type is Lycodus infraliassicus.
It was corrected as Conchodus by Frech (1912).
It was assigned to Bivalvia by Frech (1912); to Hippuritoida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Megalodontidae by Kiessling (2004) and Ros-Franch et al. (2014).
