Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
D. M. Kermack 1982A tritylodont having I3 absent; uppr postcanine teeth with only two main cusps in each of three longitudinal rows; small accessory cusp present at the medial end of the central row. Upper postcanine teeth markedly broader than long, breadth/length ratio close to 1.5. Distinguished from all other tritylodonts except Stereognathus by having no more than two principal cusps in each longitudinal row of cusps in the upper postcanine teeth: distinguished from Stereognathus by the much greater breadth/length ratio of these teeth and by the presence of a small accessory cusp in the upper postcanines.
