Barringtonioxylon eopterocarpum
Taxonomy
Barringtonioxylon eopterocarpum was named by Prakash and Dayal (1965). Its type specimen is BSIP 32778, a wood, and it is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Mahurzari, which is in a Paleogene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India.
