Taxonomy
Tetrameleoxylon prenudiflora was named by Lakhnapal and Verma (1966). It is not extant. Its type specimen is BSIP 33076, a wood. Its type locality is Mohgaon Kalan, which is in a Paleogene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal horizon in the Deccan Intertrappean Formation of India.
