Candiacervus major

Taxonomy
Cervus major was named by Capasso Barbato and Petronio (1986). Its type specimen is MPUR nr 30, a limb element (metatarsal), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bate Cave, which is in a Pleistocene cave sandstone in Greece.

It was recombined as Cervus (Leptocervus) major by Capasso Barbato (1992); it was recombined as Candiacervus major by van der Geer (2018).
