Mosaicoolithus zhangtoucaoensis
Taxonomy
Spheroolithus zhangtoucaoensis was named by Fang et al. (2000). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Zhe-6-1 (slice), an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zhangtoucao village, Tiantai, which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian terrestrial horizon in the Chichengshan Formation of China.
It was recombined as Mosaicoolithus zhangtoucaoensis by Wang et al. (2011) and Wang et al. (2012).
