Taxonomy
Xanthodaphne campbellae was named by Kiel (2006). Its type specimen is LACMIP 13254, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Canyon River, CR3, which is in a Chattian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Lincoln Creek Formation of Washington.
