Esmeraldacaris richardsonae
Taxonomy
Esmeraldacaris richardsonae was named by Waggoner (2003). Its type specimen is USNM 520698 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM loc,. 42038, Silver Peak Range, which is in an Ordovician offshore shelf limestone/siltstone in the Emigrant Formation of Nevada. It is the type species of Esmeraldacaris.
