Bryceomys was named by Eaton (1995). It is not extant. Its type is Bryceomys fumosus.
It was assigned to Multituberculata by Eaton (1995) and McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Cimolodonta by Kielan-Jaworowska and Hurum (2001) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004).
