Taxonomy
Maoritrigonia mollesensis was named by Pérez and Reyes (1994). It is not extant. Its type specimen is MNHN SGO. PI. 5201. Its type locality is Corral Barrancas, which is in a Norian/Rhaetian marine shale in the Los Molles Formation of Chile.
