Taxonomy
Crininicaminus gilberti was named by Seike et al. (2014). Its type specimen is UMUT-PW30072 and is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Shigeji-sawa Creek, Ss3 section, which is in a Capitanian coastal sandstone in the Kamiyasse Formation of Japan.
