Aegialodon
Taxonomy
Aegialodon was named by Kermack et al. (1965). Its type is Aegialodon dawsoni. It is the type genus of Aegialodontidae, Aegialodontia.
It was assigned to Aegialodontidae by Kermack (1967), Clemens and Lees (1971), Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (1979), McKenna and Bell (1997) and Kielan-Jaworowska et al. (2004); and to Boreosphenida by Luo et al. (2003) and Martin and Rauhut (2005).
