Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
F. J. Goin and M. A. Abello 2013Pachybiotherium differs from other Microbiotheria in the following combination of characters: very high horizontal ramus; on its alveolar edge, the horizontal ramus de- creases sharply in height in the anterior portion, in such a way that the premolar alveolar series is at a lower level than the molar one; M4/m4 only slightly reduced in relation to M3/m3; lingually inclined protoconid of m1–m2; hipoconid in m1–m3 not labially salient; protocone of M1–M3 very wide anteroposteriorly.
