Mesophthirus engeli
Taxonomy
Mesophthirus engeli was named by Gao et al. (2019). Its type specimen is CNU-MA2016009, a nymph, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (CNU coll), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Mesophthirus.
