Taxonomy
Sinclairella was named by Jepsen (1934). It is not extant. Its type is Sinclairella dakotensis.

It was assigned to Apatemyinae by Van Valen (1967); and to Apatemyidae by Jepsen (1934), Simpson (1940), Johnson (1966), Hooker (1986), Gunnell (1989), McKenna and Bell (1997) and Silcox et al. (2010).
