Zamponiopteron spinifera

Taxonomy
Zamponiopteron spinifera was named by Janvier and Riglos (1986) [A species of Zamponiopteron with elongated pterygia! plates, the anterior margin of which bears prominent spines containing the distal end of the radial canals.]. Its type specimen is MNHN Bol V003287, a partial skeleton (an almost complete pterygia! plate preserved as a natural mould), and it is a 3D body fossil.
