Taxonomy
Antillophyllia californica was named by Squires (1999). Its type specimen is LACMIP 12664 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is CSUN Loc. 1343, Simi Hills, which is in a Ypresian offshore sandstone in the Santa Susana Formation of California.
