W. H. Wheeler 1961Small to medium-sized uintathere. Trigonids high, small P, present. Metastylid strong and closely appressed to trigonid. Entoconid not notably distinct. No hypoconulid crest. Paraconid crest much reduced. Jaws very deep with strong inframandibular process sloping evenly backward and upward to the angle. Lower molars not as elongate as in Probathyopsis.
Cranial table only slightly basined, horns rudimentary. Skull not deep. Temporal fossa visible from above. No sagittal crest.
