Chiromyoides was named by Stehlin (1916). It is not extant. Its type is Chiromyoides campanicus.
It was synonymized subjectively with Plesiadapis by Teilhard (1922).
It was assigned to Plesiadapidae by Stehlin (1916), Matthew (1917), Simpson (1937), Simpson (1940), Gingerich (1973), Gingerich (1975), Gunnell (1989), McKenna and Bell (1997) and Boyer et al. (2012).
It was synonymized subjectively with Plesiadapis by Teilhard (1922).
