Taxonomy
Fusus kelletii was named by Forbes (1852) [DISTRIBUTION: Oligocene-Recent.]. It is extant. It is the type species of Kelletia, Kelletia (Kelletia).

It was recombined as Siphonalia kelletii by Forbes (1850); it was recombined as Siphonalia kellettii by Arnold (1903); it was recombined as Siphonalia (Kelletia) kelletii by Vredenburg (1923) and Ruth (1942); it was recombined as Kelletia (Kelletia) kelletii by Grant, IV and Gale (1931) and Willett (1937); it was recombined as Kelletia kelletii by Hendy (2021).
