Paleoischnoptera diaphanes
Taxonomy
Ischnoptera diaphanes was named by Béthoux and Nel (2005). Its type specimen is MNHN DHT-R11469, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Commentry (MNHN later coll), which is in a Gzhelian lacustrine deltaic shale in the Commentry Shales Formation of France. It is the type species of Ischnoptera, Paleoischnoptera.
It was recombined as Paleoischnoptera diaphanes by Schubnel et al. (2019).
