Taxonomy
Calymmene concinna was named by Dalman (1827). Its type specimen is UM G733 and is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Proetus, Proetus (Proetus).
It was recombined as Calymene concinna by Dalman (1827); it was recombined as Gerastos concinnus by Goldfuss (1843); it was recombined as Forbesia concinna by Angelin (1854); it was recombined as Proetus (Proetus) concinnus by Owens (1973); it was recombined as Proetus concinnus by Steininger (1831), Martinsson (1868) and Lieberman (1994).
