Cyrtosymbole richteri was named by Tolmachoff (1926) [= 1926 Da/lanites sp. Tolmachoff, p. 22, Pl. I, fig. 3.
= 1926 Dalmanites sp. Tolmachoff, p. 22, Pl. I, fig. 4 (non Pl. 2, figs . 20-21).]. Its type specimen is PMO A28847 and is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Schizoproetoides richteri by Lieberman (1994).
