Sphacorhysis was named by Gunnell (1995). It is not extant. Its type is Sphacorhysis burntforkensis.
It was assigned to Omomyidae by McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Trogolemurini by Gunnell (1995) and Gunnell and Rose (2002).
