Stockia was named by Gazin (1958). It is not extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Paromomys by Krishtalka and Schwartz (1978); it was synonymized subjectively with Omomys by Lillegraven (1980) and Walsh (1991).
It was assigned to Washakiini by Honey (1990) and Beard and Wang (1991); to Utahiina by Gunnell (1995); to Omomyidae by Gazin (1958), Walsh (1996) and McKenna and Bell (1997); to Utahiini by Szalay (1976), Muldoon and Gunnell (2002) and Gunnell and Rose (2002); and to Omomyinae by Dawson and Constenius (2018).
