Taxonomy
Utahia was named by Gazin (1958). It is not extant. Its type is Utahia kayi.
It was assigned to Washakiini by Honey (1990) and Beard and Wang (1991); to Utahiina by Gunnell (1995); to Omomyidae by Gazin (1958) and McKenna and Bell (1997); and to Utahiini by Szalay (1976), Muldoon and Gunnell (2002) and Gunnell and Rose (2002).
