It was recombined as Nacella incessa by Ashley (1895); it was recombined as Acmaea incessa by Chace and Chace (1919); it was recombined as Acmaea insessa by Oldroyd (1925); it was recombined as Notoacmea insessa by Marincovich (1976); it was recombined as Lottia insessa by Hendy (2020) and Hendy (2021).
