Taxonomy
Dechenella ziatensis was named by Feist and Orth (2000). Its type specimen is IMGP Gö Orig K 1122-37, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Djebel Ziata, which is in a Givetian carbonate limestone in the Bou Tchrafine Formation of Morocco.
