Ithacadictya was named by Caster (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras]. It is not extant. Its type is Ithacadictya cornelli.

It was assigned to Reticulosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Prismodictyinae by Finks and Rigby (2004).
