Kiwetinokia was named by Walcott (1920) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm lMid-l O]. It is not extant.
It was synonymized subjectively with Palaeosaccus by Finks and Rigby (2004).
It was assigned to Reticulosa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Protospongiidae by McMenamin (2008).
