Mangelia interfossa was named by Carpenter (1864). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Mangilia interfossa by Cooper (1888); it was recombined as Clathromangelia interfossa by Marincovich (1976); it was recombined as Perimangelia interfossa by Hendy (2020) and Hendy (2021).
