Taxonomy
Aphelaspis longifrons was named by Palmer (1954). Its type specimen is UT-32078, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TC-815, which is in a Paibian marine sandstone/limestone in the Riley Formation of Texas.
