Aphelaspis spinosus

Taxonomy
Aphelaspis spinosus was named by Palmer (1954). Its type specimen is UT-32080, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TC-807, which is in a Paibian marine sandstone/limestone in the Riley Formation of Texas.

It was corrected as Aphelaspis spinosa by Palmer (1954) and Lochman-Balk (1974).
