Taxonomy
Anthocyrtis was named by Ehrenberg (1847) [Sepkoski's age data: R]. It is extant. Its type is Anthocyrtis mespilus. It was considered unknown by Tochilina et al. (2017).

It was replaced with Anthocyrtella by Loeblich and Tappan (1961).

It was assigned to Nassellaria by Sepkoski (2002); and to Theoperidae by Tochilina et al. (2017).
