M. Freudenthal et al. 1998Cricetinae with labial and lingual cusps, and connecting crests equally high. Valleys wide, and metaconid, entoconidd, paracone and metacone crestlike. Wear surface turns into a flat, confluent pattern at an early stage of wear. Mesoloph(id)s absent. Posteriosinusid not closed by the posterolophid in m1 and m2, frequently closed in m3. M1 with 3 roots.
