Bruehnopteron murphyi
Taxonomy
Bruehnopteron murphyi was named by Schultze and Reed (2012). Its type specimen is KUVP 94040, a partial skull (left lateral side of the head, postparietal shield and cleithra), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Southwest flank of Red Hill, northern end of the Northern Simpson Park Range, which is in a Givetian marine limestone in the Denay Limestone Formation of Nevada.
