Taxonomy
Legendreia magnifica was named by Huang et al. (2020). Its type specimen is NIGP 171019, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Houdong, Yinping Mountain, SW Chaohu City, which is in a Capitanian marine shale in the Yinping Formation of China.
